2027 Membership Dues & Recurring Payment Notice
Beginning with the 2027 membership year, annual membership dues for the Central States Archaeological Societies will increase to:
- $30.00 per calendar year when paying by check or money order.
- $31.00 per calendar year when paying online through PayPal.
Memberships continue to run on a calendar-year basis, January 1 through December 31.

Current Recurring PayPal Memberships
Because of the change in membership dues, all existing recurring PayPal membership payments will be canceled by Central States Archaeological Societies in By years end 2026.
Members with an existing recurring payment do not need to cancel it themselves.
The current PayPal recurring payment agreement cannot simply be changed to the new membership amount. Therefore, the existing recurring payments must be canceled and a new recurring payment option created.
Recurring Membership for 2027
After the existing recurring payments have been canceled, a new recurring membership option at $31.00 per year will be made available on our website.
Members who wish to continue using automatic annual renewal will need to sign up again using the new recurring membership option.
Signing up for recurring membership is optional. Members may continue to renew annually by check or money order for $30.00.
The Central States Archaeological Societies, Inc. is a nonprofit organization operated entirely by dedicated volunteers, with no salaried staff or officers. When necessary, the Society may engage independent contractors or service providers on a case-by-case basis to support its mission.
At its core, the Society is built on collaboration—bringing together professional archaeologists, amateur and avocational archaeologists, and the collector community at large. This shared exchange of knowledge, experience, and discovery helps preserve the past while advancing the understanding of North American archaeology.

The Central States Archaeological Journal (ISSN 0008-9559) is a quarterly publication issued in January, April, July, and October. Each issue features a diverse range of articles that reflect this collaborative spirit—written by professionals and collectors alike—all working toward a common goal of education and preservation.
