ON THE COVER:
This Ashtabula spear is made of gray Coshoctan and was found in Kosciusko County, Indiana. It measures 6 1⁄2” long x 3 1⁄2” wide. This
is considered to be the largest and best Ashtabula in existence. It was found in 1905 by Ed Hoagland 4 miles east of Warsaw, Indiana.
Fred Bartol bought it in 1937. Pictured previously in Who’s Who in Indian Relics Volume #1 on page 10, in Who’s Who in Indian Relics
