On the Cover: Mound D at the Shiloh Site in Hardin County, Tennessee. It stands almost 10 feet tall and is approximately 75 feet in width. It is one of eight mounds at the site. The site is special because it has never been cultivated due to its inclusion in the National Military Park, and there are more than 100 individual house mounds on the site.
